Like every middle-class family born child, Kishore indukuri also wanted to study hard and become successful and so he did, his ambitions became a reality after he graduated from IIT Kharagpur and completed his master's and Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and got a job at Intel.
After almost six years at Intel, Kishore realized that his profession wasn't his real passion, and he returned to Hyderabad after quitting his employment in the US. After returning home and realizing the shortages of affordable, unadulterated milk, he resolved to make a difference not just for his son and family, but also for the people of Hyderabad. This sparked his desire to build his own dairy farm and milk company. His family possessed land in Karnataka, so he bought 20 cows from Coimbatore in 2012 and started a dairy farm there. Kishore began supplying milk directly to city residents on a subscription basis, and his business quickly grew.
Kishore initially put in roughly 4.3 crores of rupees by borrowing money from friends and family, as well as his own savings. He began selling milk directly to clients with the first 20 cows. Nothing was easy, he recalls, because it was an extremely demanding business environment in which he had to quickly become acquainted, and it was a key period for him. After raising a bank loan, he established a permanent manufacturing facility in 2018.
We took his hands into other product categories such as whole cow's milk, whole buffalo's milk, skim milk, cow's butter, cow's ghee, buffalo's butter, buffalo's ghee, cow's curd, buffalo's curd, cow's curd, and natural paneer since he recognized an increased need for dairy products in Hyderabad. The product undergoes 26 tests based on FSSAI legal standards of milk and milk products.
In 2016, the brand was officially registered as sid's Farm, after Kishore's son Siddharth. It sells milk mostly through subscriptions on its app as a D2C brand. Amazon, Big Basket, Swiggy, and more apps have products available. It also has a 100-store partnership.
